Three safe first checks

Try these in order. If something looks damaged, unusually hot or unsafe, stop and request service.

  1. 1

    Charge first

Place the microphone in its approved charger and allow it to charge before troubleshooting a connection problem.

  2. 2

    Check mute

Confirm that the microphone is switched on and not muted. Look at the screen and status indicator before changing settings.

  3. 3

    Keep equipment together

Have the microphone, receivers or hearing devices and any charging dock beside you before opening a guide.

Official step-by-step help

Phonak groups the current videos by product. Open the video library and choose the wording that matches what you need to do.

  • Charge the Touchscreen Mic
  • Turn it on, mute or unmute it
  • Connect or disconnect another Roger device
  • Check which devices are connected
  • Use pointing or small-group mode
  • Choose a different microphone mode
  • Set a Roger network or connect audio

Something isn’t working

Work through one symptom

Do not change several settings at once. After each check, test the same simple speech task again.

There is no sound

Check that the microphone is powered on and unmuted, that the listener’s device is working normally, and that the Roger device is shown as connected. If the system worked before, note exactly what changed before reconnecting or resetting anything.

A receiver or hearing device is not connected

Bring the devices together and use Phonak’s official connection instructions for the exact receiver or RogerDirect hearing device. Do not remove an existing network unless you know every device that must be reconnected.

The microphone will not charge

Check that the approved power supply is firmly connected, reseat the microphone in the dock or cable, and inspect the charging contacts for visible obstruction. Stop if the device or charger becomes unusually hot or appears damaged.
